What Is CarX?

CarX is not a traditional dealership and not a basic classified ad. It is a specialised service that takes a vehicle from real world condition to fully prepared, inspected and presented with clarity.
Every CarX vehicle is detailed by MCG Detailing, visually inspected and photographed correctly. Sellers benefit from a more serious listing. Buyers benefit from a transparent overview of the vehicle they are viewing.
For Sellers
You handle the ownership, we handle the preparation and presentation. CarX was designed for busy owners who want the value of a professional sale without losing control of their vehicle.
- We collect or attend your vehicle appointment, carry out a full CarX detail and presentation.
- We carry out a small inspection, scan the vehicle with a modern OBD diagnostic tool (optional) and record notes for listing.
- We photograph and film the car with dealership style angles and close ups.
- We create and publish the listing on the CarX platform and promote it via MCG Detailing marketing channels.
For Buyers
Buying privately can feel like guesswork. CarX changes this by clearly explaining what has been checked, photographed and prepared.
- Vehicles are presented in clean, realistic condition so that you can see paintwork and interior properly.
- Every CarX vehicle has at minimum a visual inspection and is in great contition prior to buying.

How the CarX process works from your side
You remain fully in control of your vehicle and the final decision. We handle the preparation and professional presentation that creates better first impressions and stronger offers.
Step 1: Quick call or WhatsApp
You tell us the vehicle, rough condition and your goal. We suggest a preparation level and agree on a time and place.
Step 2: Preparation & inspection
On the agreed day we prepare the car by detailing the inside/out, run OBD diagnostics (optinonal) and take professional photos.
Step 3: Listing & promotion
We build your CarX listing, add notes and promote it on the CarX platform and MCG Detailing social channels.
Once your listing is live, we can optionally assist you with enquiries, screening potential buyers and guiding you through viewings and handover so that you remain safe and informed at every step.
For Buyers
Every CarX vehicle is inspected and scanned
We do not claim to replace a full mechanical inspection service, but we do more than a normal private listing. Our process gives both seller and buyer a clearer picture of the vehicle condition.
Visual inspection
We walk around the vehicle and inspect common problem areas:
- Body panels for dents, scrapes and mismatched paint.
- Glass, lights and mirrors for cracks or heavy wear.
- Interior dashboard, seats, carpets and headlining.
- Tyres for tread depth, even wear and visible damage.
- General engine bay cleanliness and fluid leaks.
OBD diagnostic scan (Optional)
We connect a modern OBD scan tool to the vehicle and check:
- Stored and pending engine fault codes.
- Warning lights and system status where supported.
- Basic live data health where appropriate.
- Readiness monitors where supported by the vehicle.
Findings are summarised in plain language on the CarX listing so buyers know what has been checked and what requires further diagnosis if applicable.

Are you a dealership?
CarX is a preparation and presentation service, not a traditional dealership. The vehicle remains in your name until it is sold. We support both sides by making the process clearer.
Can you guarantee that there are no mechanical issues?
We do not claim to replace a full mechanical report. We carry out visual checks and OBD scans to highlight visible concerns, but any used vehicle can still develop issues over time.
How does payment for the vehicle work?
The buyer pays you directly. CarX does not sit between buyer and seller for the payment. We can however advise on safe payment methods and what to avoid.
Do buyers pay extra because CarX is involved?
No separate fee is charged to the buyer. The value is created by better preparation, clearer information and more confident decision making.
Can you help me value my vehicle before we start?
Yes. We look at real market examples, condition, mileage and specification to suggest a realistic listing price and an expected selling range.
What if my car is not in perfect condition?
Most used vehicles are not perfect. We present the car honestly, recommend what to improve and explain any remaining marks or issues so that serious buyers still feel comfortable.
